Korean Society of Civil Engineers (KSCE) was founded in 1951 as a non-profit association to serve the members who are working in the various fields of civil engineering in Korea. The purpose of the KSCE is to advance and promote the civil engineering profession and provide better services to the public through research and development, member training and education, technical advice and assistance, and mutual cooperation among the members. The Society also performs contracted research and development projects for the private and public sectors through the affiliated Civil Engineering Research Center.

Deep Foundations Institute (DFI) was incorporated in 1976 in the State of New Jersey as a 501(c) (6) non-profit association. DFI can best be described as being a technical association of firms and individuals in the deep foundations and related industry. The Institute membership is worldwide. For over thirty years, DFI has gathered professionals in the deep foundations sector of the construction industry, to create a place for discussion, inquiry and debate. In so doing, DFI has brought the disciplines together where they have learned from each other, creating a better informed, more communicative foundations industry.
